Meet the Pacific Sharks Coaching Staff
Kyle Lamb
Kyle Lamb brings a wealth of experience and passion to the Pacific Sharks coaching staff. An accomplished hockey player, Kyle excelled in various sports during his youth. His dedication and perseverance led to a successful career in the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he played for the Regina Pats, Vancouver Giants, and Lethbridge Hurricanes. Notably, he had the honor of participating in the Memorial Cup tournament with the Vancouver Giants.
Following his WHL career, Kyle pursued higher education at the University of Western Ontario, where he captained the Western Mustangs hockey team to three national tournaments. After completing his studies, Kyle returned to his local roots and has been a prominent figure in the real estate industry for the past 11 years, leading his own team. He also dedicates his time to coaching his two young sons at the Burnaby Winter Club, where his commitment to developing young talent is evident.
Jason Pagliaro
Jason Pagliaro is a dedicated coach with extensive experience in both playing and coaching hockey. A former BWC AAA, Junior, and Simon Fraser University hockey player, Jason has a deep understanding of the game. He is passionate about fostering a love for hockey and creating an exciting and positive environment at the rink. He believes that the love for hockey starts with the excitement of being at the rink.
Jason, a chartered accountant by day, has been a coach at BWC for four years and of various spring teams over the last three years. Jason focuses on providing a safe and competitive space for young players to excel and refine their skills. Jason emphasizes the importance of teamwork and strives to instill a strong sense of camaraderie and enjoyment in every player he coaches.
Gary Gladue
Gary Gladue is a passionate hockey player with an extensive background in professional hockey. Growing up in Chetwynd, BC, Gary developed his passion for hockey in his backyard rink skating from morning until night.
He played 5 years in the WHL playing for the Prince George Cougars, Calgary Hitman and the Spokane Chiefs before entering into the ECHL for 5 years playing for the Columbia Inferno, the Long Beach Ice Dogs and the Victoria Salmon Kings.
Following his professional career, Gary embarked on a career as an industrial electrician while still playing hockey on multiple teams. He now dedicates his time to instilling teamwork, work ethic and positivity in his role as a coach.
Gary strives to teach the value of being a good team mate on and off the ice.
Development Coaches
Adam Nugent-Hopkins
Adam Nugent-Hopkins has been working in athletic development, both as a strength coach and as a sport coach (primarily hockey) for the past 17 years. During this time, Adam has been fortunate enough to coach Olympic, pro, college, junior / high school and youth level athletes from all different sports, ages and skill levels.
To learn and understand human biomechanics and athletic development, Adam went to school for Kinesiology. During his education, Adam interned at the University of Minnesota, assisted with a Division 3 hockey team and consulted for multiple sports agency firms. As well as professional development, Adam played hockey up to a University level.
Adam currently works in the gym with elite level athletes who are chasing their athletic endeavours, as well the youth population learning the foundations and anyone else who is looking to improve their fitness levels.
Adam is the current head coach of the Yale Hockey Academy U18 Prep team. Prior to Yale he was the head coach of the Greater Vancouver U18 and U15 programs and the BCHL Coquitlam Express.
Adam brings a passion for teaching and connecting with all those who want to learn and improve whether in the gym or in their sport and we are excited to have him as part of our team!
